Steam Cleaning in Apartments

Steam Cleaning Carpets in High Rise Condos and Apartment Blocks…

Due to Popular Demand, we are now offering Steam Cleaning Services for your Carpets and Upholstery if you live in a Highrise Condo or Apartment. We have invested in a Ninja High Powered Portable Steam Cleaning Unit for that very purpose. Obviously, where we can, we will still use our truckmount system but once you get above the ground floor, hose length starts to become a problem. That is where a portable unit comes in. Some thirty five-plus year’s ago Mark, Co-Owner of Dang Good started out just using portable machines and so he, and the team he has trained can do a fine job for you.

The Apartment and Condo Carpet Cleaning Cost

The minimum call out charge for Apartments and Condos where a portable unit is used is $99.99 plus GST, however, we will not be charging a waste disposal fee.

Apartment/Condo Special Offer

The Apartment and Condo Carpet Cleaning Deal is $99.99 plus GST for Up to 3 Rooms and a Hall – max 600 Square Feet. Extra Rooms after the three in the deal are $40.00 each. Stairs are $39.99 per set (max 13 steps) or $3.50 per step if you have fewer than an average set of stairs.

Moving and Rentals Properties

  • Are you moving out? Does your Landlord require a Carpet Cleaning as part of your tenancy agreement?
  • Are you moving in and needing your carpets cleaned before you move in your furniture? Why not have them Sanitized too? Give yourself peace of mind that you are walking on fresh clean carpets treated for lingering bacteria. Or if you have already moved in perhaps you would like the traffic areas cleaned and sanitized. While you are at it perhaps have some of that furniture steam cleaned too?

Please consider Dang Good Carpet and Furnace Cleaning for your Condo Carpet Cleaning, Area Rug Cleaning and Upholstery Cleaning.

QUADCA Certified Member for furnace and vent cleaning calgary

We are delighted to become a QUADCA Member for Furnace and Duct Cleaning

We received our membership on 28th November 2018.

What is QUADCA?

It stands for Qualified Air Duct Cleaners Affiliation. It exists to help educate consumers in making the right decision when hiring a Furnace and Duct Cleaning Company.

They have a number of videos and articles advising customers on the ideal processes and equipment to be used when your Furnace and Ducts are being cleaned.

QUADCA aims to inform prospective customers of best practices; advise on optimum cleaning techniques as well as safeguarding potential clients against being scammed.

Understandably Homeowners get nervous when it comes to bringing hired contractors into their homes especially when it’s to access their Heating and Cooling Systems. They want to be confident that they will get a quality clean at a fair price. Additionally, they want to be sure that their HVAC Systems are in safe hands. Efficient winter heating is so important in the Province of Alberta. The last thing any home owner needs is to hire a shady contractor to do a bad job for an exorbitant price.

You can rest assured that Dang Good has superior cleaning practices, great customer service and has extremely affordable prices. Please see our Deals and Contact Pages for pricing information.

Members

QUADCA investigates and assesses their prospective members. They make sure they are licensed and insured. They check they are using the correct equipment, tools and cleaning techniques as well as having above board invoicing methods and fees.

QUADCA suggests customers ask three questions of Non-QUADCA Members. They are:

  • Do you use a High Powered Air Compressor?
  • Will you be cleaning the Furnace Blower?
  • Will you be using the Push-Pull Method if Duct Cleaning?

Of course as a member our answer to all three questions is yes. You can find out more about our method and equipment on our Furnace and Duct Cleaning Page.

You can also find more about all their standards and other FAQs at: http://quadca.com/quadca-standards/

QUADCA also strives to protect the image of the Furnace and Duct Cleaning Industry by helping homeowners find ways to avoid scams, shady duct cleaners and unacceptable billing practices.

As such, we at Dang Good Carpet and Furnace Cleaning are proud to display the QUADCA logo on our site indicating that we are a member. We hope it gives our future clients peace of mind, so they will look to us to BOOK their next Furnace and Duct Cleaning.

Clocks Fall Back Alberta

Clocks Fall Back in Calgary.

Don’t forget to put your clocks back soon.

At 2am on Sunday November 4th 2018, the clocks will be put back one hour. This will affect Alberta.

Germany was the first country to introduce Daylight Savings Time. Not long after, Canada followed suit. It was initiated to make best use of the time the sun shone rather than have people sleeping during that time.

Benjamin Franklin first entertained the idea in the 1770’s, but an English Builder: William Willett, was the first to consider it a viable option when he returned to the idea in 1907. Yet Germany was the first to institute it in 1915.

Each province in Canada has its own set of rules on when or whether to use Daylight Time. Currently Alberta uses it. For a while it looked like the Alberta Government might do away with the twice yearly time change but at the end of October 2017, they scrapped the bill to remove Daylight Saving Time.

Nevertheless the debate on the advantages and disadvantages of time change continues. For now however, the status quo remains.

So remember to put those clocks back on Sunday November 4th 2018.

DST for many, acts as a reminder that winter will soon be upon us and that Christmas is not that far away. When preparing for the holiday festivities don’t forget to give your carpets some consideration. We have some great Carpet Cleaning Deals.

Don’t leave it too late. Give us a call 403-984-3680 and Book your Carpet Cleaning Now!!

Oven Cleaning with Household Products

Oven Cleaning Hack

  1. Mix about a cup of baking soda with a few spoonfuls of water to form a paste.
  2. Remove racks from oven.
  3. Spread paste over oven walls, the oven door and bottom of the oven, avoiding the heating elements. Leave for a few hours – ideally overnight.
  4. Use a damp cloth to wipe out the now dried mixture and gently use a plastic scraper for any difficult areas.
  5. Once done add some vinegar to a spray bottle and apply to any remaining baking soda, again avoiding the heating elements. The baking soda will react with the vinegar and foam.
  6. Wipe away the foam and repeat until all the residue is gone and you have a sparkling shine.

Clean Oven Racks

A similar process can be applied as mentioned above to the oven racks by placing them on baking foil on a work service. Both sides of the racks may need doing.

Clean Inside Glass on Oven Door

  1. Remove drawer at bottom of oven door that stores your baking trays etc.
  2. Attach some glass cleaner wipes to some coat hanger wire
  3. Slide the wire into the slats at the bottom of the oven door – accessible from the space where you moved out the oven drawer. This may need doing a few times to get clean.
