About Dang Good

Dang Good is a local Calgary-based family-run business which is operated by husband and wife team: Mark Norman and Karen Norman.

Mark has over 40 years of experience in the cleaning industry and brings hands-on expertise to every aspect of operations. Mark started his cleaning career back in the 1980s. Mark overseas the training and performance of the technicians ensuring high standards are met on every job. However, Mark now spends a lot of his time in the office dealing with calls and customers as well as dealing with health and safety and logistics.

Karen with her BSc Degree in Business Information Technology handles more of the administrative side of the business which includes the bookkeeping, marketing, SEO and website design and copy. Her research and understanding of the latest cleaning technologies has allowed her to provide an informative business blog.

Together Mark and Karen are passionate about quality cleaning services and employ those that are also dedicated to exceptional service. Dang Good is fully licensed and insured. They have served thousands of customers and been in business since 2016. In that time they have build a solid reputation in the industry.

Our employment opportunities to become a cleaning technician will suit someone who is physically fit who doesn’t shy away from Hard and Demanding Work. The work is Seasonal with our busiest times in the Spring, Summer and Fall. The Winter months are the quietest. We often require our staff to work six days a week during those busier weeks. Staff are more than welcome to take a longer period of vacation in the winter months and have shorter weeks during those quieter months. Vacation Pay is paid out weekly at the required percentage and staff are expected to budget for the quieter season.

General Helper/Trainee

See our Job Adverts on Indeed We have an Employment Vacancy for a helper/trainee for our Dang Good Carpet & Furnace Cleaning Business. No experience in Carpet Cleaning or Furnace and Air Duct Cleaning Page or Window Cleaning is required as Training will be provided. The job will initially start on minimum wage but will increase as soon as the candidate has shown both competence and dedication. We reward hard work and reliability. The job is physically demanding. The hours can be long and this is a 6 days per week job, especially in the Summer and Fall Months. Please bear that in mind before applying. The position is considered a permanent position, however, it is seasonal. The winter months tend to be quieter and candidates are expected to take their time off during those winter months. Ideally, the candidate will be hard-working, flexible and has the willingness to learn with a great attitude. The candidate will have a full, clean driver's license with 2 years of driving experience. A clean abstract with no more than 2 demerits must be provided in advance to secure the position. We are looking for someone who wants to grow with our company. Driving will be a requirement once satisfactory training and proven competence have been acquired. We are a small owner/operated business with a focus on affordable cost, and high-quality work. Customer Service is paramount. You will be reporting directly to the owners of the company. This is a great opportunity for someone to start out from the ground up and grow as our business expands. Or start a new career in a completely different direction. The right candidate will have a minimum of One Years’ experience in Furnace and Duct Cleaning. We are a small yet successful business with a focus on affordable, high-quality work. We are looking for someone who is interested in growing with us. Someone who is looking to be a significant asset to us as our business grows. As such this is also a potential career growth opportunity and the right person will be compensated well. You must be able to operate and drive a manual (standard) furnace cleaning truck. [i.e. Ford F450 –weight more than 4500 kg] We are looking for a highly motivated person with proven experience. In particular, we are looking for the following qualities:
