Yes, tile and grout go together when it comes to cleaning. When referring to tile cleaning, you are simultaneously referring to grout cleaning.

Our process is as follows...
Assessing your Floors
The process starts with your call, where we determine what flooring you need cleaning. We then select the products and equipment best suited for your cleaning service.
In addition, on the day of your cleaning, we will further inspect the tile or stone floor to ensure that we continue to be on the same page about the most appropriate product and cleaning method.
This also allows us to highlight any problem areas needing special attention.
We will also assess any areas that need protective coverings, such as Baseboards, cupboards and walls.
Vacuuming the Floor
Before cleaning, the floor must be clear of loose dirt, debris and other particles. So it may be necessary to start by vacuuming it. However, we may suggest you do that to cut down on costs.
Pre-Treatment
Next, we apply a specialty pre-treatment product designed specifically for the type of flooring being cleaned. The products we use are environmentally friendly and safe for children and pets. This is left on for about 15 minutes
The Actual Cleaning
Depending on the level of soiling, we may start with our BrushPro Equipment to help agitate the pretreatment applied. This helps lift the dirt from the tile and grout.
Then the main extraction and rinse process begins. The best method is hot water extraction, commonly known as steam cleaning. However, specific wand and hand tool attachments are used, such as a Spinner or a Gekko. The tiles are water pressured with high-temperature, high-powered extraction equipment at 800 to 1200 psi.
Sealing and Resealing
Most Ceramic and Porcelain Tiles have a coating, which makes them non-porous. However, the grout is a porous surface which will need to be sealed to reduce soil build-up. The sealant acts as a barrier. Subsequently, we apply a durable coating specifically designed for your floors to ensure it has the best protection to minimize the recurrence of dirt and grime buildup
Likewise, any stone flooring will need complete sealant coverage so as to avoid discoloration and stains which can be problematic.
We clean a variety of hard surfaces such as Vinyl, Concrete, Stone and Ceramic Tiles. The tiles we clean include Saltillo, Porcelain, Slate, Granite, Travertine, Marble, Terrazzo, and Quarry Tile.

Our minimum call-out price is $200 plus GST and a waste disposal fee. A Basic Clean is $1.90 per square foot, but estimates may be higher if your flooring is deemed to be more heavily soiled.
We will ask you sufficient questions at the time of your request for a quote so that the price remains the same on the day of the cleaning (unless, of course, you choose to have extra work carried out). However, we do not upsell. We know how frustrating that can be.

Stains on Grout should be addressed immediately, especially if it has been some time since any sealant has been applied. Grout is porous and will naturally absorb liquids. If those liquids are high in colour, that colour can embed itself into the grout.
Stubborn stains on Grout Lines will benefit from Professional Steam Cleaning.
Sometimes it is not so much staining on the grout that is a problem but soiling. The grout in high-traffic areas can be noticeably different in colour and is often your first indicator that your floor needs some specialty cleaning.
There is a debate on whether it is necessary to seal grout at all but most professionals seem to advocate for it and then suggest it be resealed on a regular basis, even as frequently as every year. However, it may depend on how conscientious you are with your cleaning routine.
One way to determine whether sealing is necessary is to spray the grout with water and watch to see if the water seeps into the grout or whether the water remains on the surface.
As with any home renovation, it is important to know what type of flooring and grout you have and reference the manufacturer’s instructions in the first instance.
The sealant generally comes in two flavours: one that lays on top of the grout to give it a basic protective coating and the other known as penetrating sealant that absorbs into the grout and provides more prolonged protection against oil, mildew or water damage. A third sealant option would be to use a colour sealant which not only seals the grout but changes the colour too.
