Dang Good Carpet and Furnace Cleaning has been an active member of the Calgary Chamber of Commerce now for a few years and currently has a Connect Membership. As a business owner in Calgary, the Chamber offers many opportunities to network and be involved in this metropolitan city. Inevitably, the Chamber was one of our first business connections.

Dang Good is currently located in Vista Heights and has become a Business Member of the Crossroad Community Association. Vista Heights is a good base for us, giving us good access to all four quadrants of the city as well as the other locations we serve.

Our giving back philosophy started with Airdrie. Initially, we worked out of our home in Panorama Hills NW, and Airdrie was very kind to us. Now that we are in the northeast, we are starting to build up our sponsorship portfolio close to the shop. Currently, we have focused on three local charities.

• First, we have monthly sponsorship with PALs – Pet Access League. This is a charity that arranges pet visitation to the community through volunteers. This is Pet Therapy for people from all walks of life who, for various reasons, do not have pets but could benefit from gentle human-animal interaction. 
• Second, we have started sponsorship with Youth Unlimited – YFC Calgary. Youth Unlimited is a faith-based charity which began in the 1950s and seeks to support and mentor young people in the city and develop authentic relationships with them without judgment. Youth Unlimited has a number of different programs.
• Finally, we recently sponsored an AARCS Safe Haven Kennels and Rooms: Cat Isolation Kennel and hope to do more in the coming year. AARCS – Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society, admittedly, is not close to our business. Nonetheless, it is an animal welfare organization that has been in our hearts for quite some time.
